The Government of NCT of Delhi, vide Order No. F.No.Lab.859/2026-Legal/1289-1292, has authorized Deputy Labour Commissioners of the Labour Department to dispose of pending registration applications under the Building and Other Construction Workers (BOCW) framework. The order has been issued with the objective of expediting the processing of pending applications, reducing administrative delays, and ensuring timely registration of eligible beneficiaries and establishments. By delegating the authority to Deputy Labour Commissioners, the government seeks to strengthen the implementation of labour welfare measures and improve access to benefits available under the BOCW regime. Employers, contractors, construction workers, and other stakeholders are advised to review the order and take note of the revised administrative arrangements for registration-related matters.
