The Employees’ Enrolment Scheme 2025 introduces a special six-month enrolment window from 1 November 2025 to 30 April 2026, allowing employers to voluntarily enroll eligible employees left out of EPF coverage between 1 July 2017 and 31 October 2025 and regularize past non-compliance under the Employees’ Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952. Under the scheme, the employee’s share of EPF contribution is waived where it was not deducted from salary, while employers are required to remit the employer’s share, interest on arrears, administrative charges, and a lump sum penal damage of ₹100 per establishment. Even establishments facing inquiries under the EPF and EPS provisions are eligible, subject to specified conditions. Enrolment is conducted entirely online with verification through Face Authentication Technology (FAT), aiming to enhance transparency, formalize employment, and expand social security coverage.
