The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has launched the Employee Enrolment Scheme (EES)–2025, a one-time facilitation initiative to expand EPF coverage and regularise past non-compliance. The scheme offers a six-month compliance window starting November 2025, allowing employers to voluntarily enrol eligible employees left out of EPF coverage between 1 July 2017 and 31 October 2025. Employers are required to deposit only the employer’s share of contributions with applicable interest, nominal damages, and charges, treated as full compliance. EPFO has urged all employers, including state and local government authorities, to take advantage of this time-bound opportunity in support of the vision of “Social Security for All.”
