The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), vide Circular No. P-11/12/Ministry MoI&E/2024-RevII, has issued a clarification to create awareness among employers regarding the SPREE initiative under ESI. ESIC has clarified that the communication is only for awareness purposes and that further compliance actions will be undertaken in accordance with the Central Rules and Regulations to be notified under the Code on Social Security, 2020. Employers are advised to refer to the circular for detailed guidance.
