The Government of Gujarat has issued Notification vide Serial No. Sr. A.6/T.3/2026/165 regarding the revision of special allowance under the Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970, effective from 1st April 2026. The revision is aimed at adjusting wages in line with inflation and cost-of-living changes. Employers engaging contract labour are advised to review the updated allowance rates and ensure compliance with the revised wage structure.
