Madhya Pradesh Revises Labour Welfare Fund Contributions – January 2026 Amendment

The Government of Madhya Pradesh, vide Notification No. LAB-8-0003-2025-Sec-1-XVI(LAB) dated 28 January 2026, has amended the Madhya Pradesh Shram Kalyan Nidhi Adhiniyam, 1982, revising the Labour Welfare Fund contribution rates. Under the amendment, the employee contribution has been increased from ₹30 to ₹50, and the employer contribution has been revised from ₹1,500 to ₹2,500. The revision aims to strengthen and revive the Labour Welfare Fund, thereby enhancing welfare benefits available to workers across the State. Employers are advised to update payroll systems and ensure compliance with the revised contribution rates as per the notification.
