The Ministry of Labour and Employment continues to strengthen social security for unorganised workers through the e-Shram Portal, India's comprehensive National Database of Unorganised Workers (NDUW). As of 14 July 2026, more than 31.78 crore workers have registered on the platform, receiving a Universal Account Number (UAN) and seamless access to multiple welfare schemes through the e-Shram One-Stop Solution. The portal integrates 15 Central Government social security schemes, including Ayushman Bharat, PM Suraksha Bima Yojana, PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, PM-KISAN, and One Nation One Ration Card, while also providing links to employment, skill development, and pension services, making it a unified digital gateway for labour welfare in India
