The Government of Tamil Nadu, vide G.O. Ms. No. 575, has issued a Notification declaring a paid holiday on the occasion of the bye-election in the Dharapuram and Madhurantakam constituencies on 6 October 2026. The notification provides for a paid holiday for eligible employees in connection with the polling day in the concerned constituencies. Employers, establishments, employees, and other stakeholders in the affected areas are advised to refer to the official notification for details regarding applicability, eligible establishments and employees, and other instructions related to the declared holiday.
