The Government of India has declared 14th April 2026 (Tuesday) as a gazetted holiday on the occasion of the birth anniversary of B. R. Ambedkar. As per the Office Memorandum dated 9th April 2026, the holiday will be observed across all Central Government offices and industrial establishments throughout India. All Ministries and Departments have been directed to ensure proper communication and compliance, enabling employees to commemorate the occasion honoring Dr. Ambedkar’s contributions to the nation.
