The Government of Andhra Pradesh, vide G.O.Rt.No. 421, has issued a notification declaring 16 February 2026 as an optional holiday in lieu of Mahashivaratri. The order allows employees in applicable government offices and establishments to avail the holiday as per existing optional holiday provisions. Departments and establishments are advised to refer to the official notification for detailed applicability and administrative instructions.
