The Ministry of Labour and Employment, vide G.S.R. 936(E), has released the Draft notification of the Code on Wages (Central) Rules, 2025. The draft rules seek to operationalize the Code on Wages, 2019 by prescribing detailed provisions on fixation and payment of wages, minimum wages, floor wages, bonus, and related compliance requirements. Stakeholders have been invited to examine the draft and submit their views and suggestions within the stipulated timeframe as mentioned in the notification.
