The Government of Manipur, vide No. 2/7/2026-Leg/L, has issued the Notification of the Manipur Unified (Trade, Shop and Establishment) Licensing Act, 2026. The Act provides a unified legal framework for licensing and regulatory requirements relating to trades, shops, and establishments in the State of Manipur. Businesses, employers, shop owners, commercial establishments, HR and compliance professionals, and other stakeholders are advised to refer to the official notification for detailed provisions relating to licensing, registration, applicability, procedures, and other compliance requirements under the Act.
