The Government of Karnataka, vide Notification No. LD 285 LET 2021, has issued the Draft Notification of the Code on Social Security (Karnataka) Rules, 2026. The proposed rules seek to operationalize the provisions of the Code on Social Security by prescribing procedures and compliance requirements relating to provident fund, employee state insurance, gratuity, maternity benefits, and other social security measures within the state. Employers, establishments, and other stakeholders are advised to carefully review the draft rules to understand the proposed regulatory framework and statutory obligations. Suggestions or objections, if any, may be submitted in accordance with the procedure outlined in the draft notification.
