The Government of Karnataka, vide Notification No. LD 157 LET 2020 (P-1), has released the Draft Notification of the Code on Wages (Karnataka) Rules, 2026. The proposed rules seek to operationalize the provisions of the Code on Wages by prescribing norms relating to minimum wages, payment of wages, equal remuneration, and related compliance requirements within the state. Employers, establishments, and other stakeholders are advised to review the draft rules carefully to understand the proposed regulatory framework and procedural obligations. Suggestions or objections, if any, may be submitted as per the process outlined in the draft notification.
