The Government of Goa, vide No. 2/2/2010-GAD-III/Vol.I/889, has declared 08th March 2026 (Sunday) as a Paid Holiday on account of the Panchayat Bye-Election in the State. The notification mandates that all eligible employees working in establishments, shops, and commercial units be granted paid leave to exercise their right to vote. Employers are advised to ensure compliance with the statutory provisions relating to paid election holidays and make necessary workforce arrangements in accordance with the official notification.
