The Government of Karnataka, vide No. 2386/686-2023(4), has issued a Notification bringing the Karnataka Cine and Cultural Workers (Welfare Promotion) Act, 2024 into effect from 30 September 2026. The notification specifies the effective date for implementation of the Act, which provides a statutory framework relating to the welfare and promotion of cine and cultural workers in the State of Karnataka. Cine and cultural industry employers, workers, HR and compliance professionals, and other stakeholders are advised to refer to the official notification for details regarding the commencement, applicability, and requirements under the Act.
