The Government of Kerala, Labour and Skills (E) Department, has issued the Kerala Minimum Wages CPI Notification for December 2025, revising the Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA) for employees engaged in Shops and Commercial Establishments and the Computer Software Sector. As per Notification No. DES/1129/2025-P3(1), the revised Consumer Price Index (Cost of Living Index) Numbers applicable under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 have been determined based on the indices ascertained by the Director General of Economics & Statistics under clause (c) of Section 2 of the Act. Employers covered under the notification are advised to take note of the revised CPI figures and ensure compliance with the updated VDA rates.
