The Government of Gujarat, vide Serial No. Sr.A.6/T.3/2026/525, has released a Notification regarding the revision of minimum wages and Special Allowance for Contract Labour with effect from 1 October 2026 under the Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970. The notification updates the wage-related requirements applicable to contract labour in Gujarat and prescribes the revised Special Allowance effective from the specified date. Contractors, principal employers, establishments, HR professionals, payroll teams, and other stakeholders are advised to refer to the official notification for the applicable wage rates, Special Allowance, employment categories, and compliance requirements under the CLRA framework.
