The Government of Maharashtra, vide Notification No. PHD-1319/C.R.145/Japuk(XXIX), has declared 15 January 2026 as a public holiday in view of the Municipal Elections. The holiday is intended to enable voters and employees to exercise their democratic rights and ensure smooth conduct of the elections in the state.
