The Ministry of Labour and Employment, vide S.O. 5321(E), has issued the notification enforcing the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions (OSHWC) Code, 2020 starting from 21st November 2025.
The OSHWC Code consolidates 13 existing labour laws related to workplace safety, health standards, and employee working conditions. With this implementation, organisations must ensure updated compliance with revised norms on safety measures, registrations, working hours, licensing, and welfare provisions.
