The Ministry of Labour and Employment, vide S.O. 5319(E), has officially notified the implementation of the Social Security Code, 2020 with effect from 21st November 2025.
This notification marks a major transition in India's labour compliance landscape, bringing together various social security laws into a consolidated and simplified framework. Employers, HR teams, and compliance professionals are advised to review the new obligations, contributions, and procedural requirements under the Code.
