The Administrator of the Union Territory of Chandigarh, vide Notification No. 662869-HII(2)-2026/6258, has published the Draft Chandigarh Social Security Rules, 2026 for public consultation. The proposed rules seek to operationalize the Code on Social Security, 2020 by prescribing detailed provisions relating to social security benefits, employer and employee registration, contributions, maintenance of records, inspections, claims, welfare measures, and statutory compliance obligations.
