The Government of Nagaland, vide Notification No. LAB/DRAFT/LC/1/26/2025-26/196, has published the Draft Nagaland Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Rules, 2026 for public consultation. The proposed rules seek to operationalize the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code by prescribing detailed provisions relating to workplace safety, occupational health, welfare facilities, working hours, licensing, inspections, contract labour, inter-state migrant workers, record maintenance, and employer compliance obligations.
