The Government of Karnataka, vide notification No: LD 1 LET 2021, has released the Draft Industrial Relations (Karnataka) Rules, 2026 under the Industrial Relations Code, 2020, superseding the earlier draft issued in 2021 after considering stakeholder objections. In exercise of powers conferred under Section 99 of the Code, the draft Rules lay down detailed procedural guidelines and introduce significant reforms, including digitisation of registrations, electronic submissions, online conciliation processes, and digital maintenance of records. Employers and stakeholders are advised to review the draft Rules to assess upcoming compliance requirements.
