The Government of Uttar Pradesh, vide Notification No. 289/XC-S-1–25-36S-2025, has issued a notification bringing into force the Uttar Pradesh Dookan Aur Vanijya Adhishthan (Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam, 2025. The Amendment Act introduces changes to the existing framework governing shops and commercial establishments in the state, Employers and establishments operating in Uttar Pradesh are advised to review the amended provisions carefully to understand their statutory obligations.
